Strength in Our Weakness

And he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.- 2 Cor. 12:9
Learning to depend on God's ability, rather than our own, is a process that takes time. When the Lord leads us into something new, feelings of inadequacy can overwhelm us, trying to prevent us from moving forward. Yet, it is in these moments that we experience His power working in and through us, as we step out in faith and trust in Him.
Perhaps we’ve been waiting for a job opportunity but fear rejection due to a lack of qualifications. Or maybe a new relationship presents itself, and we feel insecure about the future. God, in His grace, strengthens us, bringing opportunities to grow our confidence—not in ourselves, but in Him. Through these experiences, we learn that even when we are unable, God is always able.
Our hearts are willing to follow His will, and as we yield to Him, we receive strength in our weakness. The power of Christ enables us to obey, one step at a time. When we come to the end of ourselves, He begins. When we stop, He starts. God’s power rests upon us, carrying us forward, from glory to glory!
