Drawing Near in True Worship

“…let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water." - Heb. 10:22.

The struggle against distractions during worship is constant. Thoughts of inadequacy, unworthiness, or inferiority can cloud our focus and hinder our full attention to the Lord. External factors—such as our surroundings and even the behavior of others—can also contribute to this battle. Yet, as we draw nearer to God in worship, all these obstacles begin to fade, and He becomes our sole focus.

One of the greatest blessings of the new covenant is our freedom to worship God in spirit and in truth. We can come to God despite our flaws and limitations. True worship is not defined by outward rituals or perfect behavior, but by the authenticity of our love and devotion to Him. God doesn’t look at the external forms; He looks at the sincerity of our hearts.

When our hearts long for His presence, the Spirit empowers us to overcome distractions. Our love for God grows as a response to His amazing love for us. Worship becomes more than just an act on Sundays; it permeates our daily lives. In our weakest moments, His strength shines the brightest. We worship the Lord with all our hearts, no matter what our mind tells us, and as we do, our adoration deepens,  from glory to glory!
