Reach out to God

In the day of my trouble I sought the Lord; My hand was stretched out in the night without ceasing; My soul refused to be comforted. - Ps. 77:2
This psalm paints a vivid picture of reaching out for God, much like a child extending their hand for a parent's comfort and guidance. In times of distress, we can reach out to the Lord, taking hold of His presence. The more we reach for Him, the more our connection with Him deepens, and we learn to trust His wisdom above all else.
Often, we seek Him most intensely when we realize we cannot move forward without Him. Through humility and total surrender, we reach beyond ourselves, into His grace and mercy. Yet obstacles can sometimes hinder our reach. We may need to let go of things we’re clinging to—our own fears, insecurities, or even another person or object—so we can fully reach out to God.
As we walk with the Lord, we come to recognize our need for His guidance in every situation—whether in moments of joy or sorrow, triumph or challenge. Holding His hand brings us comfort in our grief and peace during battles. His presence becomes our refuge and strength. We seek after Him because we love Him, and as we reach out to Him, we find He has been waiting for us all along, from glory to glory!
