Launching Out in Faith

Then He got into one of the boats, which was Simon's, and asked him to put out a little from the land. And He sat down and taught the multitudes from the boat. When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, "Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch. - Luke 5:3-4

Have you ever worked tirelessly on a project, only to see no results? Spent an entire night pressing forward with nothing to show for it? It’s often during these moments of frustration and discouragement that the Lord asks us to do something that seems unrelated or even illogical. Yet, it’s through our obedience to these unexpected instructions that success often follows.

When we prioritize the Word of God in our lives, allowing Him to use us as He wills and obeying His directives, we can expect fruitfulness. What once seemed unproductive or hopeless can suddenly turn around. Peter’s defeat turned into a victory when he allowed Jesus to have His way, and the same can happen for us.

What is the Lord asking of us today that He will use to bless our tomorrow? Even amid failure, weakness, and relentless trials, the Lord is preparing us for something far greater than we can imagine. Launching Out in faith, we trust in Him, from glory to glory!
