Dwelling Under Divine Protection

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, ‘He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.’- Ps. 91:1-2.

During times of war, people seek shelter in safe places, hiding under cover to avoid the enemy’s weapons. In Christ, we always have a place of safety, dwelling under the shadow of the Almighty. No weapon formed against us can prosper because we abide under His protection.

The practice of anointing can be traced back to ancient shepherds. Lice and insects would burrow into the wool of sheep, threatening their lives if they reached their heads. To protect them, shepherds would pour oil on the sheep’s heads, making the wool too slippery for insects to grip, causing them to slide off. This anointing with oil symbolizes blessings, protection, and empowerment.

In the same way, we trust the presence of the Spirit of Christ to protect us and make our enemies flee. The battle belongs to the Lord, and His anointing covers us, shielding us from all opposition. Whenever we feel threatened, we can rest under the cover of the Holy Spirit with confidence and peace. His presence wraps around us, causing the enemy’s attacks to slip off, from glory to glory!
