Stand Out in God's Strength

"But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty." – 1 Corinthians 1:27
The more we stand by faith, the more we stand out in God's strength. To stand out means to project something out of the ordinary, to be distinct and prominent. When we stand for the things of God with great determination, we stand out the most.
In nautical terms, "to stand out" refers to maintaining a course away from the shore. In Christ, this means maintaining a steadfast position in opposition to the oppression of Satan, the world, and the flesh. We stand out when we resist temptations and refuse to submit to the pressures of others. We stand out when we hold on to our identity in Christ, no matter what tries to influence or deter us.
Our transformation in God is visible to all. The way we walk in love, peace, and joy—when the world walks in hate, anger, and fear—demonstrates the supernatural power of God at work in us. Instead of seeking approval from the crowd, we seek the presence of the Lord. We stand out like a lighthouse, guiding others to know that if God can transform our lives, He can surely transform theirs too. It is the presence of God in us that shines brightly, from glory to glory!
