Trust God's Desires in Your Heart

Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. - Ps. 37:4-5

When God leads us into something new, He often signals the change by lessening our drive and lifting the anointing on what we are currently doing. This can be His way of telling us that a new season is approaching. Sometimes, we may try to push through, thinking the issue lies within us, but as we seek God’s guidance, we realize He is leading us into a fresh chapter.

God may reveal what He has for us immediately, or He may wait until we take a step of faith and release our current assignment. If we find it difficult to continue in what we are doing, and it becomes a heavy burden, it’s a call to pray and seek discernment. Discouraging seasons and trials can disturb our inner peace, and spiritual warfare may even try to rob us of the delight we should feel in walking with the Lord. But it’s important to remember: the Lord orders our steps—and our stops.

As we delight ourselves in the Lord, He plants new desires in our hearts and leads us by His peace. Let us be attentive to His direction, stepping out in faith, and trusting Him to bring every desire He stirs in us to pass,  from glory to glory!
