In Everything Give Thanks
Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thes. 5:16-18.
In any circumstance, we can thank God, trusting that He is working all things together for our good. It’s not for all things, but in all things because not everything comes from Him. The devil, the world, and the flesh are sources of many undesired situations, yet our God is a very present help in times of trouble.
God also calls us to pray without ceasing and to rejoice always. We may not be able to rejoice in every circumstance, but we can always rejoice in the Lord. In Him, we rest, trusting that He cares about every detail of our lives. He watches over us and is handling all that concerns us.
No matter how long it takes to see the results of what the Lord has prepared, we keep praying and never lose hope. We rejoice because one day we will look back on today and give glory to God for what He has done. We can depend on God’s faithfulness, thanking Him in all things because He knows all things, can do all things, and uses all things in our lives to bring us, from glory to glory!
