Stepping Into Freedom

Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, ‘Lazarus, come forth!’ And he who had died came out bound hand and foot with grave clothes, and his face was wrapped with a cloth. Jesus said to them, ‘Loose him, and let him go.’ - John 11:43-44

Our spiritual progress often encounters obstruction from our adversary, satan. This becomes evident when we find ourselves unable to pray, worship, or engage with Scripture despite a deep longing to do so. In such moments, there’s no tangible reason for our incapacity. It feels as though something unseen is holding us back, leaving us perplexed and questioning.

We may look inward, wondering if there’s something wrong with us, sensing powerlessness yet unable to see what we’re fighting. This is when we need to press through with all our heart, mind, and strength. The Spirit of God empowers us to take a step we cannot take on our own, breaking the grip of any hindering spirit.

This pressing through requires faith and a determined resolve to advance despite the barriers. By submitting to the Lord and resisting the enemy with every ounce of our being, we take that first step. As we do, the shackles fall, and we find freedom to go deeper, reaching what the enemy sought to keep from us. Let’s deal with every obstruction by stepping forward, in Jesus’ name,  from glory to glory!
