Walking in the Newness of Christ

But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. - Rom. 13:14 NKJV.
As we grow in our walk with Christ, we often look back and realize that some of our past decisions were unhealthy or misguided. Whether it’s the physical, emotional, or spiritual nourishment we chose, we may recognize areas where we need to make changes. Instead of dwelling on past missteps, we focus on making healthier choices each day.
Through fasting and prayer, God equips us to make decisions that glorify Him. Over time, we learn to choose wisely in our daily lives—what we eat, watch, talk about, and even the company we keep. This journey requires discerning, by the Spirit, what is right to allow into our lives and what we should let go.
Even as we strive to make better choices, we will sometimes falter. In these moments, it’s vital not to fall into the enemy’s traps of guilt and condemnation, which can lead to further poor choices. Instead, we see every decision as an opportunity for transformation, aligning our will with God’s will. Only by His grace can we continue to walk in the newness He brings, from glory to glory!
